Jesus told his disciples to go and make disciples. He gave us the method to model as we make disciples of Jesus today.
But what is a disciple. Simply put, healthy kingdom disciples are fully given to belong & be with Jesus, knowing Him. They believe heart, soul & strength–following Him as disciplined learners; becoming like Jesus in His words, ways, and works, to be deeply transformed by Him; and intentionally, relationally & strategically go beyond—offering their lives as gifts to the world for Jesus to make more disciples.
In this, a disciple loves God and loves their neighbor.
The Deeper Life is all about the Journey taken with the Holy Spirit of Jesus guiding us along the way. It’s a life lived with God, in God, and for God. This comes about primarily by deepening (or growing) in relationship with Him. The primary way this happens is in conversation with Him through prayer and the scriptures and through relationship with other devoted Christ followers.
FAITH IS THE PRIMARY WORK OF GOD’S PEOPLE! WE ACCOMPLISH IT BY PRAYER!
It seems that the first question we must ask then is this: what is prayer? The simple answer is this: prayer is talking with God. We pray when we open our heart to the Almighty. We use our voice, songs, written words, and attitudes in response to what He speaks to us in our hearts through the faculty of the imagination and in the Holy Scriptures.

The term “deeper life,” identifies a revolt against the “ordinary” Christian experience and towards the insatiable yearning of a few discontented souls after the deep, essential, spiritual and inward power of the Gospel message. This life in the Spirit is a far wider and richer thing than mere victory over sin. It includes also the reality of the indwelling Christ, of an acute God-consciousness, of rapturous worship, separation from the desires of the world, the joyous surrender of everything to God, growing internal union with the Trinity in the practice of the presence of God, the communion of saints, the freeing, healing and strengthening grace of God and intimate prayer without ceasing. To enter into such a life, those seeking it must be ready to accept without question the Revelation of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit through the New Testament as the ultimate authority on spiritual matters. They must be willing to make Christ the one supreme Lord and King of their life. They must surrender their whole being to the destructive purpose of the cross, to die not only to their sins but to their own self-righteousness as well and to everything in which they formerly prided themselves. And the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit that follows will restore to their soul infinitely more than has been taken away. It is often a hard way but always a glorious one. No one who has known the sweetness of it will ever complain about what they have lost. They will be too well pleased with what they have gained. (Adapted from A.W. Tozer, The Alliance Weekly November 3, 1954)
The first disciples called themselves the Way. There was a reason for this, the scriptures tell us to follow those who have gone before, particularly following Jesus in the way that has been tread or marked out for us. We follow along this trail that takes us off the main drag that the world is traveling in mass.
Just maybe there is another WAY that doesn’t leave us with empty promises and broken relationships. Just maybe following Jesus invites you to follow along the WAY less traveled… where life everlasting actually exists. Don’t be confused and fooled by substitutes or replicas, there is a real, REAL life waiting for you as we walk the pathway others have traveled for centuries.

Being a disciple of Jesus is not primarily about morality, rules, reading the bible or going to church every Sunday. It can’t be accomplished by checking boxes off a list despite what you might have heard. It’s about relationship by knowing Jesus and being known by Him. Starting Fall 2021.
Who am I? Why do I exist? Does life have meaning? Can I be whole? We’ve all asked these questions… each one points to our need to have a mooring to anchor our lives to. Where we base our identity will guide the rest of our lives. But its never too late to find our value in the unshakable One.
This is offered 1-2-1 or in a group context of 3-5. Fall or Spring only. Starting Spring 2020.
When it comes to questions of meaning the second biggest question after “who am I?” is “Why am I here?”, or “What is my purpose?”. During this course we will look at the way God has designed you for a particular purpose in mind. His desire is that you will flourish! When we align ourselves with His purposes for us it make all those questions of meaning & wholeness have a context and the answers He gives us will drown out the uncertainties and insecurities of life.
